过大礼!

4th November was our 过大礼 day! I neva knew it was such a cumbersome chore cos there's a lot of stuff to take note of.. even more than the big day.. no joke! a lot of customs that we do for the sake of doing without knowing the significance behind it.. but well we still got to go thru it..

Anyway such a relief that it's over now.. even though there's a few glitches like my dear forgot to bring over the si dian jin.. haha blur.. hopefully he wont be so forgetful on the actual day! :P

Intensive Beauty Regime!

Ampoules

All the while i thot ampoule is somethg which is very ex cos it's damn nutritious for the skin.. the only time i get to enjoy the benefits of ampoules is when im doing my monthly facial.. so when my gal fren recommend this website which sells a whole series of Germany ampoules at very low price, i bot all those which serves to target my skin problem.. 30 vials in all!!! I tried the AHA peeling ampoules for consecutive 2 days and it really aids in reducing the pores and my skin feels smoother.. i can't wait to try the others! 

I got the following products from this website called Beauty N Scent (recommended by my gal fren as well.. all my vain frens haha).. It sells skincare pdts and perfume at a lower price.. after calculating it's around 30% discount! cheap rite..

Seriously i tink brides' money are the easiest to earn among all consumers.. u just hav to say the magic words: 'hey it's once in a lifetime' and they will be won over.. confirmed guaranteed without fail! okie so u shd hav guessed im speaking from experience.. my dear better dun see this post.. i tink he will flip dunno how many times over the $$ i hav spent.. hiak hiak..

Facial Package: $2920

The 1st thg a bride shd do is to go for regular facials.. and im not talking abt just normal ones ok.. there's treatment to rejuvenate my eyes and different kind of intensive treatments for my face.. so on and off when there's new treatment i will be so tempted to try it out in hope that my face will miraculously become flawless! well dat din really happen but i must say my complexion did improve.. yeah for this kind of $$ it better be good.. and i have not even included the money i spent on the super duper recommended pdts.. hmm.. at least another $500? *heartache*

okie this is for my underarms.. dun need to go into details lar but it's ermm.. quite essential.. haha..

Mani & Pedi Package: $360

U might ask.. is it really necessary to buy a package? can't i just book one appt on the day b4 and just do it? the ans is: no! okie to be fully convinced that the mani & pedi for my wedding day is perfect, i must first try it out rite? so i went to try this ladyfinger nail salon on the day b4 my co D&D and did the exact nail colour i wanted for my wedding so dat i can visualise how it would be.. skills and outcome not bad.. and they convinced me to buy this package where i get to enjoy free treatments like feet collagen treatment, nail mask, callous pad and quick dry top coat.. yes amazingly they hav all these fancy treatments just for the hands and feet!

Dental: $198

Heng i can claim $150 from my company dental benefits ah.. The initial bill shd be cheaper but i did smthg extra.. again.. my front tooth filling is actually still intact but it has some discolouration which is not really a big deal.. but i just want to hav a perfect smile on my wedding day.. so i told my dentist to do smthg abt it.. end up he got to redo the filling which is not a very pleasant experience.. u know the front teeth are quite sensitive so the discomfort level is quite unbearable.. but it's worth it! *BIG grin*

Two Tasks Settled! :)

Meetup with Hotel Coordinator

I was told that this is usually done one month prior to the wedding.. but i was so unsure of so many thgs dat the hotel coordinator, Jesmi, kindly suggested to meet up earlier to allay my worries.. :)

Had a fruitful meetup with her.. Managed to settle the flower arrangements and banquet theme; the floor plan; ROM schedule; tea ceremony arrangement; wedding favours and the montage and march in songs license issues.. She gave some very good advices along the way.. Quite lucky to hav her as my coordinator cos she is very helpful and will offer her suggestions and preferences from a gal's point of view.. She helped in making decisions when me and my dear were stuck.. Thanks Jesmi!

Food Tasting

Hokayyy.. the main focus of the session is actually not the food tasting.. the point is that the parents of both sides are meeting for the 1st time! *sweat* dunno wat to expect but luckily with the 3 kids arnd everybody had some common topics to break the ice *phew*

anyway.. food tasting was at Imperial Treasures as the banquet feast will be prepared by their chef.. Overall the food is very nice! but according to my frens with experience, they told me cannot everythg say ok or nice or watever.. bcos on the actual day the standard will surely be affected as they hav to prepare so many tables as compared to only one during the food tasting session.. hmm.. to me food standard is quite impt so i told Jesmi to make sure that it will be the same standard on the actual day *crossed fingers*

Wedding Invites.. and more..

Went down to T-dragon on sat with dear to select our wedding invites.. it's super duper crowded!!! prior to that i actually went to their website to take a look and cant really see anythg i like.. luckily when we went down, the gal showed us some exclusive cards for Crowne Plaza couples.. the wedding invite has the hotel iconic motif which we like very much.. so after some (or rather lotsa) waiting and discussion, we just have to go back and come up with the layout and design.. which is the difficult part..

Sigh.. actually there's a lot more stuff for us to do and follow up on.. but i simply hav no motivation at all.. has been feeling really stressed and depressed recently.. it's not really the stress of hvg so many tasks to do.. tasks are easy to managed but it's more of the complications that arise now and then.. i simply cant take it anymore and break down in front of dear dear the other day.. i tink he's really shocked and dunno how to react.. he thot that it's due to that one incident but it's actually the pent-up stress and frustrations dat i have been holding back.. 

This is really unexpected cos im usually quite bo chap abt thgs.. very difficult to explain this feeling but if it's gog to be this way until the AD.. i tink im just gonna burst and die!!!

Schedules Schedules!

Finally met up with Master Chiang @ his office to get his advice on the auspicious dates for 过大礼 and 安床.. at the same time checked with him on the auspicious timing on the AD itself.. haha u can call us superstitious but we wanna make sure everythg goes well :)

din know there's so many stuff to take note for the two rituals.. hopefully we will rem the correct steps.. it's not easy task k especially the 安床.. hav to place ang baos at the respective positions.. and items like oranges, red dates, peanuts etc etc have their exact way of positioning and have to buy the correct type e.g hav to buy red dates with seeds, peanuts which are not halved.. arghh.. hopefully i can rem!

anyway with the auspicious timing for AD we can start planning our wedding schedule! luckily the timing all swee swee.. not too early not too late.. we got a very tight schedule cos we will be hvg solemnisation and lunch wedding all packed in the afternoon! *phew*

Talking abt solemnisation.. we finally confirmed our soleminsor! it's gonna be Mr Phang.. he's the solemnisor for Dajie and Appu.. he sounded real nice on the phone, explaining the procedures to me.. one reason i chose him is bcos he has dat 慈祥 look.. like a grandfather figure.. i supposed it will look nice in the photos.. haha.. yup i've been told dat's a funny consideration but i feel dat it's impt lehhhh.. 

More Preparations!

Just collected my portrait, album and tabletop from my BS.. quite satisfied with the end product! Haha.. but they missed out our mini album.. *sad*.. hopefully they can get it done soon and everythg will be ready! Err.. well.. almost..

Pple have been asking me how’s our wedding preparation and I will reply “okie leh.. like nothg much to do..” but after the appointment with the BS on Sunday it seems like we have quite a number of decisions to make.. and there’s only 4 months left!!! *stress*

Things done:

1) Bridal hand bouquet (yup it’s pink!)

2) Bridal car décor (not much choice)

3) MUA for both 1st and 2nd march in (additional $$)

4) Bridal car confirmed

5) Bought ang bao box and feather pens

6) Photographer (by BS) and videographer (Dear’s fren)

7) March in songs decided

8) Facial sessions booked till November

Things to do:

1) Confirm the auspicious hour the groom to fetch the bride

2) Confirm the schedule and duties for whole event

3) Confirm the hairstyle and accessories for the day (by early Nov)

4) Fix a day to bring daddies, flower gal and page boy for fitting

5) Confirm solemniser

7) Do up the 2 montage (One done!)

8) To liaise with hotel for food tasting

My XXth Bdae!

i tink me & my dear has this bdae curse.. whenever it's nearing my bdae he will be sent overseas for work.. dis has happened for the 3rd consecutive time! but anyway i kinda get used to it oredi.. not forgetting i have my dearest frens+family to celebrate my bdae for me!

Thanks to my ex colleagues+frens CT & JY for the bdae dinner (it was nice catching up with u gals).. 

Thanks to my uni cum JC frens whom have been celebrating one another's bdae since like the longest time (rem our promise to celebrate bdaes as long as we can rem one another hor.. haha).. 

Thanks to my frens from MP for the stay @ Strawberry Park Resort.. yaya i know i hav been there for the 2nd time in the month but the company's fun! miss the times we had @ MP..

Thanks to my BFF+goodie frens for the bdae celebration (u gals+guys have been the greatest bunch for spending my bdae with me every yr esp when my dear is not arnd).. 

Thanks to my lovely family for taking leave on my bdae to spend the day with me @ sentosa!

Love Of A Lifetime?

Recently a spate of events sets me thinking.. 

wat will happen to my dear when i pass on? Will there be another love one in his life? How soon will that be? Will I still be his love?

On one hand I cant bear the thot of him with another gal.. but on the other hand I cant bear for him to suffer loneliness.. Dilemma... even thinking abt it now makes my heart ache.. 

Wedding Updates!

Opps! no updates for sooo long since the photoshoot.. one thg for sure i have *ahem* put back on all the weight i have lost for the photoshoot.. darn.. can only blame myself for the food binge right after the shoot.. haha.. the big day is in arnd 6 mths time.. got to buck up!

hokay back to the preparation works since the photoshoot! went to choose photos and after much pain we added only 21 photos even though we definitely loved more photos than those we have settled on.. cant believe we actually spent 5hrs at the BS just to select the photos and bargain top-up prices *phew*.. so total 61 pics! shd be enough to have a decent album bah..

abt another mth later we went to see the album design layout.. din actually know wat to look out for.. suggested some changes here & there and dat's it! now waiting for the portrait and album to be ready.. here's the raw copy of one of the photos we quite like.. the final copy is actually edited to 70s retro style but i dun have the soft copy yet..

next thg up: the wedding car.. this is my dear's task and he has confirmed the VW New Beetle Cabriolet! Niceeeee! I like...

Laneige Sales!

Was hvg dinner with my gal frens when E mentioned that there's gog to be Laneige sales the next day.. heard positive reviews abt their water sleeping pack and was so tempted to buy it.. soooo i took leave the next morning to go to the sales with E! haha hav to cheong there early to beat the crowd mah.. the sales was not as great as i expected with limited stock available but i still managed to spend a few hundred bucks on their pdts.. tsk tsk.. haha..

muahaha so happy! i bot 200 bucks worth of beauty pdts today online and over lunchtime.. my fren recommended this website to me quite sometime ago.. i happened to came across the website today and saw this thg i hav been looking for.. and then one thg leads to another.. haha..

This was recommended in one of the variety show.. haha i know it's a bit bo liao but i really need to correct my bad sitting posture so i thot i can start with this! and it can firm up my butt at the same time.. sweeee...

ahem.. as the name implies this is supposed to slim and shape my arms and thighs.. i can use it after applying my slimming cream in order to enhance the results!

This is damn cheap!!! i was actually contemplating whether i shd buy the Gold Caviar BB cream @ $55 when i saw this at the Watsons counter! It came with the big tube of gold caviar bb cream, perfect bb remover, perfect bb toner and perfect calming cream.. and it's only 49 bucks! quite a steal ya.. hiak hiak..

9. Bio-essence Face Lifting Cream with ATP

I keep seeing the advert by Vivian Hsu and i got so tempted to buy this.. finally decided to bot it since my colleague has a $3 voucher.. yayaya i know it's not a lot but ever heard of cheap thrill?! anyway i shall see if i will attain that V-shaped face as the advert claims haha.. and hey i can use it with the Face Slimming Roller Massager (see item 3)..

Marking Territory..

Recently my niece Xuan Xuan has a new "hobby".. she will sit on my bed looking around my pinky room and dreamily say "My daddy say once gugu married then this room will be mine".. Den she will continue by saying "I will sleep on ur bed.. use ur computer.. wear ur hairband.. koda also mine rite??" She even placed 2 of her hair elastic bands on my table so that she can use them when she takes over my room! Looks like she's marking her territory ya..

Emo Me!

It suddenly dawned on me that it wasn't wat I thot it was.. I kept wondering why the feeling was so different this time round.. it's not that time of the month so it can't be PMS.. den I realised my expectations have changed and it leads to insecurity.. and me turns out to be super emo..

Miss U Miss U!

It has only been a day and im missing him oredi.. no one to rattle on abt my day.. no one to make me laff.. no one to irritate me.. no one to kiss goodnite.. no one to say love u.. 

Tink it has been quite a while since the last time he's away.. Din realise i've grown to be so dependent on him.. arghh... i dun like this feeling..

Wish u are back here with me.. But i gotta wait till Fri.. Miss U!!!

Photoshoot 05 March 2010!

Photoshoot was damn tiring! but it was real fun.. I guess the photographer, Yi Ke Shu, was very good at perking pple up with his jokes and encouragement.. and of cos the company of my sister helps in relieving the stress level.. the make up artiste is very good too! She knew exactly wat to do to hide my *ahem* limited flaws.. muahaha..


We entered the studio not knowing wat to expect and started with the 1st change of wedding gown and make up.. once done, YKS and his assistant got ready for the shoot.. there was a tutorial by the assistant and YKS took a few shots of our different angles and showed us to make sure we are ok with the style.. and here we go!


the assistant turned on the stereo and loud music was blasting.. mainly 周杰伦 and 张震岳 songs.. it really helps in setting our mood especially when YKS started to sing along damn loud.. haha.. The style for wedding gown was romantic, kua was fun and evening gown was sexy.. It was not easy actually cos YKS was looking for the right moment and right feel to capture that moment.. At the end of the studio shoot my eyes were damn tired and my mouth was all stiff..


and then it was time for outdoor shoot! we went to Crowne Plaza 1st and got in touch with our hotel coordinator, Jesmi.. She was very nice in showing us around the place and suggested nice locations for our shoot.. Took the foyer, lounge, hotel room, bar and poolside.. catch a few glimpse of the pics.. nice!


Afterwhich we gonna rush to Sentosa! The place we had our 1st date =)


It was a total rush cos we had to catch the sunset.. we went to the greenery to take a few "lying-on-the-grass" shots and proceed to the beach.. we changed into our casual wear and felt much relax.. we managed to catch the sunset! the pics turned out to be real romantic as dear carried me up in the sunset with our lips kissing each other.. den we tried a few other poses with dear piggyback me and a few other "sexier" shots..


Kinda miss the time we spent having the PS.. it's hard to describe the feeling.. it's like an experience that me and my dear will never go through again.. and I would want to rem it for the rest of my life.. *this simply means that I will surely choose more than my stipulated 40 pics!* =P

Our Wedding Band!

We bought our wedding band!!! Actually we did not tink of buying the band so early but it was stated on the photoshoot checklist to bring our wedding band.. So we panicked and went to vivocity just one day b4 the shoot to buy the band.. haha..

We walked into Lee Hwa and was extremely pleased by the service of the salesperson.. She gave very good advice and when we explained to her that we actually need the rings by the next day, she told us to select the design we like 1st without being affected by the timeline as this will be our lifetime band.. we took a long time to choose our wedding band but she was very patient in explaining each and every good point.. Finally we chose the above Destinee wedding band cos we like the simple yet classy design! =)

It was a painful short wait while she called the factory to see if they have our ring size and yeesh! they have it! usually it will take 3 days to deliver the rings but she managed to get them in 3 hrs and even done the engravement for us! Happiness!
