It has been 4 years since then...

Today is our 4th pak tor anniversary! and our 1st since our wedding.. but dear not with me to celebrate this day tog.. *sigh* we used to celebrate even our monthsary.. yup on the 23rd of every month :)

Reminisce time: on 23rd Feb 2007, me & my dear went out on our 1st official date as gf/bf.. hee.. i rem we bot movie tix to watch a show but we din managed to catch it cos he was recalled back to work.. damn! we din even get to hold hands or cuddle in the cinema.. haha! we were hvg dinner at Taka when he rec'd the call.. I can still rem the look on his face.. end up i got to go hm by myself.. but my dear made up to me the next day.. heehee..

Since day 1 dear has been telling me i got to be independent cos he wont be able to be by my side at all times.. I got to admit it was not my nature to be independent cos im a super duper sticky gum but i got used to it along the way.. and dear will always try to make it up to me in other ways and he will be very patient when im upset or frustrated.. so i hav learnt to be more understanding.. erm.. ok maybe just a little bit more understanding lar..

Now that dear has been away for 81 days.. there's 50 more days to go.. and im waiting patiently for him to come back and celebrate the past xmas, new yr, cny, v-day & anniversary tog.. haha!!

My XXth Bdae!

i tink me & my dear has this bdae curse.. whenever it's nearing my bdae he will be sent overseas for work.. dis has happened for the 3rd consecutive time! but anyway i kinda get used to it oredi.. not forgetting i have my dearest frens+family to celebrate my bdae for me!

Thanks to my ex colleagues+frens CT & JY for the bdae dinner (it was nice catching up with u gals).. 

Thanks to my uni cum JC frens whom have been celebrating one another's bdae since like the longest time (rem our promise to celebrate bdaes as long as we can rem one another hor.. haha).. 

Thanks to my frens from MP for the stay @ Strawberry Park Resort.. yaya i know i hav been there for the 2nd time in the month but the company's fun! miss the times we had @ MP..

Thanks to my BFF+goodie frens for the bdae celebration (u gals+guys have been the greatest bunch for spending my bdae with me every yr esp when my dear is not arnd).. 

Thanks to my lovely family for taking leave on my bdae to spend the day with me @ sentosa!

It has only been a day and im missing him oredi.. no one to rattle on abt my day.. no one to make me laff.. no one to irritate me.. no one to kiss goodnite.. no one to say love u.. 

Tink it has been quite a while since the last time he's away.. Din realise i've grown to be so dependent on him.. arghh... i dun like this feeling..

Me, A Pain In The Ass!

Lately I have been a pain in the ass.. seriously..

after the selection of the gowns, the same qns hav been playing over and over again in my mind.. is the wedding gown ok? is fuchsia pink with black laces ok for evening gown?? is the style and pattern pretty enough??? are these really the best gowns I can choose???? i hav been hvg sleepless nights over the past few days thinking abt all these.. 

so wat do i do? i tortured my dear with these qns over and over again.. non stop! i woke him up in the middle of the nite asking him if my gowns are ok.. i asked him everyday if i shd reselect the gowns.. i made him help me design my dream gown tog with me though he knows nuts abt fashion! but he has never ever at any time lost his patience or showed any signs of frustrations.. he will ans my qns faithfully and help me analyse every details of the gowns and remind me why i chose the gowns in the 1st place.. when i sit by myself silently brooding over these stupid qns, he will chuckle knowingly and wait patiently until i get out of my own thots..

awww.. i feel so bad now.. thanks my dear and sorry for all these stupid acts.. but im sure there's more to come! *Bleah*

Day 19 of 28 ~ Waiting & Hoping..

well so far so good.. im still surviving.. thank goodness there's skype so that i can still chat with dear @ nite.. one more week to go and I will be at the airport welcoming my dear home! hopefully he wont be quarantined *hoping & praying*..

went to batam over the wkend with my BFFs! the massage was gooood and the hotel room was.. hmm.. exciting! anyway the whole nite we 4 gals were paranoid over the funny noises and "technical problems" but I still slept well thru.. wahaha.. and we gals as usual went shopping for our stock of *ahem*.. super cheap! will definitely be back with my dear for the massage =)

happy news! i finally hunt down my pink Guess sandals and will be collecting them tmr! hopefully nothg goes wrong.. woohoo happiness!

Day 1 of 28... until Dear comes back...

it's countdown time again... *sniff sniff*

anyway we had a good time @ Perth 2 weeks ago so at least I can hang on to the happy memories till dear comes back.. haiz.. it's still such a looooong way to go...

oh yah and dear called me @ 8.04pm just now..  im so missing him!!!

in this 2 years, we had gone through a lot.. in others' eyes we are the happy couple.. this is very true but like any other r/s, we had our fair share of painful and troubled moments, our problems and issues are none that anyone can truly feel and understand.. in a way it had bound us stronger together.. we never ever had any doubts about this r/s..

sometimes I threw temper over my frustrations but you hav never at any point of time shown any signs of annoyance.. you will always try to lighten things up but i can see pain in ur eyes as u tried to pacify me, over thgs dat are in actual fact more painful for u than me..

I love u for the understanding u hav given me..

I love u for the happy moments we hav spent together..

I love u for the honesty & trust we hav shared in this r/s..

I love u for the commitment u hav promised me..

wow realised long time din do the counter of me & dear anniversary alr.. sooooo it's now our 20th anniversary!!! though we din managed to celebrate our anniversary cos dear is working late, still feel happy that he remembers the day and sms me at 12am.. =)

thgs hav progressed since our 1st anni.. at least we hav our very 1st joint acc! (though dear has been a very stringent financial controller *bleah*).. we talked abt our future plans (though nothg is concrete yet).. we will be gog for another trip real soon!!! *sooooo looking fwd to it*

we celebrated Jaden's 3rd bdae @ Sheraton Towers on 19 Oct 08.. had a very relaxing time hvg brunch under the very nice ambience of the hotel..

errr.. not sure if it's considered as a halloween celebration cos we were supposed to join in the halloween fun @ nite safari.. but we realised halloween nite is on fri & sat only when we rch there on a sun nite! arghh... the website is damn misleading lor.. but anyway we went ahead with the nite safari trip and managed to catch a glimpse of the planted eerie mannequins..

Happy Hair Cutting (???)

Well it's considered an happy event lar.. the last time i cut my hair short was like more than 10 years ago lor.. hav been contemplating whether to cut or not cos there are like 1001 advices from frens and all.. so after seeing sel sel cut her hair with nice effect and PG was saying u will neva know unless u cut.. i chopped off my long hair!!! im glad i made the decision.. i dun look so haggard and draggy (esp in photos if u know wat i mean).. feel much refreshed!

My Happy Bdae Celebration!

had a super fun and memorable bdae dis year..  all these are made possible by my dearest frens and my lovable dear!  my bdae celebration lasted for 5 days haha..  i totally enjoyed myself over the 5 days!  thanks to all my frens for being so sweet and sporting..  SPECIAL THANKS to PG for her hard work in coordinating all these..  i know it's not easy and it surely takes effort to make the party an enjoyable one!  really very touched..  *sniff sniff*

Amara Sanctuary Villa (21 ~ 22 Jun 08)

my sweet frens planned an all gals nite stay @ Amara Sanctuary Villa..  PG told me it's for Yvon's bdae but i kinda expected it's our combined celebration..  but there are surprises!  din expect to see my two fun sistas and Appu there!  The villa is nice cosy place though a bit small.. but it's really beautiful with a private pool..  Appu tinks it's kinda kinky though cos the shower and bathtub area is all open and the doors of the toilets are transparent..  luckily all gals haha..

 

had fun munching the hills n mountains of food and playing water bombs and relaxing in the pool (technically i was being thrown in lor...) at the end of the nite only PG, Sel and myself stayed overnite..  we chit chat till quite late and the bed was so damn comfortable dat me n Sel din wake up when PG told us in the middle of the nite dat it's raining..  in the end the poor gal got to shift in our clothes away from the rain all by herself..  Opps..

the next morning it was still raining so cannot hav a dip in the pool lar..  we went for our complimentary breakfast for 2 and were all prepared to pay for the 3rd pax..  but they din charge it to the room leh (dunno if it's intentional or unintentional) how nice of them! hiak hiak..

after checking out of the villa we went to the foot reflexology center @ underwater world to try out the fish reflexology..  PG has done it b4 n i told her that i wanna try out leh..  at the moment of dipping my feet into the pool with the fishes swimming arnd, i seriously sincerely salute PG for being such a great pal to accompany us to do it even when she has tried it b4 cos it's really quite torturing!!!  so sorry to drag sel into dis wahaha..  it lasted for 20 mins but it feels like 2 hrs to me..  the moment the feet are in the fishes will dashed towards us and start to nibble..  guess it's still early n they r hungry??!!  we were giggling and squirming thruout lor..

Celebration with Dear (23 ~ 24 Jun 08)

me n dear took leave on 23 & 24 Jun and spent two whole days tog..  rare chance cos it's quite hard for dear to take ad hoc leave..  it was a relaxed day of eating!  we went to Bark Cafe to hav lunch and went to the changi museum and chapel to look at the history of WWII..  quite depressing to see the stories and facts of the war..  we actually wanted to sit in the DHL hot air balloon but it was closed for maintenance..  sad..

asked wong to help to book the bbq pit at their new plc so that we can hav my fav bbq food @ nite..  yummy!  we went to the wholesale bbq store @ frankurt to buy food and bring over to la casa..  had a small bbq session with coral & wong  =)

Birthday Dinner (25 Jun 08)

dear is not able to accompany me due to work commitment so dearest PG suggested to hav steamboat dinner with my bunch of nicest frens  =)  

went to The Chinese Feast @ Suntec and had a great time laughing thruout the dinner and caused dajie to hav hiccups and we got the blame (??)..  though the guys dun really know wat we are laughing at..  it's a gal thing ya..  haha.. 

Thanks to my dear frens for accompanying on my bdae and we really spent the best moments tog..  i really had a great time for my bdae!  Love ya!!!  ;)

Dear's Surprise Birthday!

dear will be working late on his birthday (so poor thg) so we gave him a surprise bdae celebration last sun.. thx to coral & wong, nat & jack! =)

we pre-planned to hav dear bdae celebration @ dempsey rd and my task is to convince him to go over to dempsey.. we were actually playing our X box when i suggested gog out for dinner.. a bit funny rite.. we were playing so happily halfway and i suddenly want to go out (??) but dear being very nice said ok.. drove up to dempsey and my 2nd task is to find the restaurant La Forketta.. wah lau eh it was so dark and there's soooo many restaurants so whr to find (?!) spent quite some time and finally found it..

went in the restaurant and joined coral & wong who's alr there.. dear was quite steady leh din really seem surprised.. chey.. we ordered our food while waiting for nat & jack to come.. the pizza is so-so only but the spaghetti with clams is superb! the clams are very fresh and it's not as tasteless as some vongole.. nice! the red wine dat coral ordered is quite good also..

after the dinner the waitress suddenly appeared with a piece of choc cake with a candle on it! haha dis is a surprise to me as well as coral din mention any cake.. and the gang bought him tops and jeans from topman and bods.. can see dat dear is happy over his bdae celebration =)

we proceed to Harry's Bar after dat to hav a drink and some snacks.. it was a relaxing and happy nite spent with our bunch of good frens =)

A Relaxed Day @ Sentosa..

brought koda & jackie out on last sunday.. wanted to bring them for a walk at west coast park but the weather was damn hot! so we ended up joy riding in the car to mount faber and had lunch at pasir panjang.. spent the whole afternoon nua-ing at my dear's plc..

was tinking whr to hav dinner cos there's not many places in S'pore that allows doggies to enter.. suddenly rem me and my sis used to bring koda to this sakae sushi branch at sentosa where they allow dogs at their alfresco area and it's just beside the beach.. nice plc to hang out with doggies.. so i called my sis to meet up for dinner and as usual she said ok readily..

food was so-so.. service no standard.. we hav to keep reminding them what's not here yet and they even ran out of ice at one point of time! but very nice scenary.. we can even see the performance from the "songs of the sea" where there are laser animations, water features and fireworks!

dat's the no of times dear called and sms me during his trip.. even the call was made in a rush and he sounded really tired.. cant wait for him to come back.. 4 more days to go! really really miss dear a lot..

to make my dear's absence more bearable, i tried to make myself busy.. i finally bot a shelf to contain my barang barang.. went shopping @ ikea with my sis gang and bot this shelf with 25 compartments.. wow can really place a lot of stuff in.. but it's really hard work to clear all the stuff from my old cupboard and re-arrange them in the new shelf.. found a lot of unwanted stuff as well so i finally throw them out but spent some time to look thru them.. brought back sm memories but in a way i felt that i hav de-cluttered my life.. spent 2 days b4 everythg was finally done but at least my stuff are all nicely packed and easily retrieved now.. so satisfied with myself haha..

went to disney on ice on 15 Mar 08 (sat).. neva been to any b4 and the main purpose is to bring ja there to see the disney characters.. we were excited when we rch kallang indoor stadium.. we bot pop corn and candy floss with disney characters printed on them.. we put on a 101 dalmatian cap for ja and he suddenly imitate doggie barking sound.. whenever we took his photo he will do dat mimic.. he's so funny..

when the show started ja got very serious and watched the performance so intently.. we were trying to tell him the characters' names and he managed to catch some wh is more familiar to him.. there's "lion king", "little mermaid", "peter pan" and "lilo & stitch".. his fav character is tinkerbell whom he called as "ah bell" cos he din catch the long pronounciation.. i kept making fun of him dat he's so chummy with her ah and kena beat by him *ouch*

on good fri eve, went to a gathering with a gang of nice frens whom i met during my current job.. some had left and some still suffering tog but im so glad dat we can still had such fun gathering.. went to Genki @ Forum and den proceed to emarald hill.. originally planned to chill out at ice cold beer as recommended by PG.. i even had a dream the day b4 ok after hearing how nice the plc is but it was so crowded we din managed to get a seat there! damn.. we ended up at alley bar and we had fun there, hvg all flavours of 1-1 martini and coral ordered 10 shots at 20 bucks.. cheap right.. played some stupid games there but dis is how we always ended up at drinking session cos everybody was high and start doing stupid thgs haha..

well.. of cos other than all these fun stuff, i did encounter upset and frustrating incidents too.. grumbled to some of my kind frens and felt beta.. still miss my dear cos i wanna share all my happy and sad stuff with him.. he's coming back soon!!!

Counting Down till Dear Comes Back...

Happy 1st YEAR Anniversary!

23 February 08 is our 1st year anniversary! we are counting by the years already and not by months mind you.. for those who are sooo used to hear me reminding u guys every month dun worry.. i will still be counting.. 13th mth.. 14th mth.. 15th mth.. wahahaha!

we din do much on our actual day cos dear is working no thanks to the airshow and im on a seminar.. by the time dear's done it's alr 8pm.. in the end we meet up with cora & wong to hav dinner at upper changi road.. they were amazed we actually spent our anni with them but we had a fun time talking abt the days when we just met..

the next day is a sunday and we had a relaxing day hvg lunch at Hong Lim and had a sinful earthquake ice cream @ swensens.. stayed there for quite a while just to "nua" our afternoon away.. no elaborate celebrations.. no expensive gifts.. no sweet loving words.. just the precious love shared between dear & me..
